Rasterex APINPM Package/docs/installer/rxview360

Backend Engine (RxView360)

The Rasterex document viewing engine installed first.

Backend Engine

Backend Engine (RxView360) is the Rasterex document viewing engine. It is installed first because Rasterex Backend and Rasterex Canvas depend on the installed system.

Interactive License UI

Backend Engine requires accepting a license agreement during installation.

Even in "quiet" mode, the license dialog may appear. A user must be present to accept.

  • Read and accept the Rasterex license agreement
  • Select installation options if prompted
  • Installation proceeds automatically after acceptance

Licence and IIS Setup

The Backend Engine installation flow uses the supplied licence file and prompts the operator to select an IIS website. The legacy installer flow records that the installation adds an application pool, virtual folders, and an rxbinweb application.

See the detailed Backend Engine installation reference for the installation screens and IIS result. The current customer journey remains the single installer executable; do not download or run the separate legacy MSI installers shown on that page.

Already Installed?

If the same version of Backend is already installed, the installer may skip it.

  • Upgrading: A newer version will upgrade the existing installation
